Spring

I stepped outside and took these pictures day before yesterday. I love spring here in Southern Califoria. Notice that right behind that magnificent cactus, the mulberry tree is leafing out. Pines and palms and citrus don't lose their leaves, but the ones that do are coming back to life. Our citrus trees are blooming, and the fragrance is amazing.

If you don't have spring in your part of the world yet, hang in there. It's coming.

great pictures-thanks so much. What is that last one with the green leaves and white flowers? Love that.

Lovely pictures. What I love best about spring in SoCal is when you happen on a whole hillside of color--golden poppies, blue lupine.

Dee, the last picture is a close up of the buds of flowers on an orange tree. These are not quite open.
Rian, yes the wildflowers are amazing and all the more beautiful because they're NOT the ones you planted. I haven't seen them yet, I think they are a little late here this year because of low winter rainfall. Jen

Oh my goodness. I found 3 new posts from you. Loved the quilt pics. The second heart/star in the brights is my fave. Your husbands quilt looks wonderful. He is sure to treasure it. Nice flower photos, too. The flora here in Portland is quite different - more dependent on cooler, wetter conditions!

Yes, I'm enjoying the sights and smells here lately...though this morning is pretty darned dreary...not complaining, though, any moisture is welcome...The citrus blossoms all over the county are so wonderful, the smell is heavenly...

Beautiful pictures of flowers, and quilts. I haven't looked at your blog for a while, and look what you've done--a whole new look.
