I have had cheerful geraniums on the brain lately, and I wasn't sure what form they would take, but here they are so far. (See some of the process below). I used hand dyed fabric, crayons, some computer generated fabric (those lime green leaves with black), a little commercial fabric, and steam a seam 2. This has been great fun, and I am liking the way this cheerful quilt is turning out. I will finish the composition, fuse, do thread work, and quilt. Pictures to follow when done. This fusing thing really is fun.

Very nice! I like how you did the leaves.
I love this, especially the leaves. Are you sure we can't get together sometime so I can pick that marvelously creative brain of yours?
Looking good on this! Which part did you use crayons on???
The Geranium leaves all have crayon on them to add color and shading. The darker green color leaves were a pretty hand dye, but they did not have the leaf markings, so I added them with crayons. I like to use crayon to tweak the look..it's easy to apply and sinks into the fabric when heated (protect your iron). This is not yet fused, and the crayon is not yet melted, but it will look pretty much the same after I do it. Jen
Looks like you've got this fusing thing completely under control. Good job!
Beautiful! I love geraniums and fusing, so I think that your quilt is FABULOUS. The leaves ARE done very well.
This is wonderful! I loved seeing your process too. Would you be upset if I told you I like the composition of the detail shot better than the whole quilt?
I like the detail shot better too, but I'm hoping the larger one will hold its own once it's finished. I have a lot more to add! Jen
