This is fabulous. You made the still life photo look way better in your rendering. I think you have shown that trying to make something look exactly like the original is not always the best thing to do!! Bravo and bravo again for actually doing something in fabric!!
Lisa, I went over to look, and your Simple Still Life is WONDERFUL! I love the color changes and the strong and simple graphic shapes. NOT DULL AT ALL, you were NOT too realistic.
I think the fun of a challenge like this is to see all the interpretations. One is not better than another, just different. Jen
Oh...this is such a delicate interpretation of the original ...I think the watercolor is what defined that...then the colors for the border...such a nice piece...I wish we could gather these and look at them side by side...isn't this fun!!!

I really really like yours! Mine is so dull compared to your light and airy feeling. Once again I was too literal/realistic.
