Frank Stella is a legendary artist who has been creating amazing work for over 50 years, and as far as I know he's still going strong. I love to look at his works and see the changes over the years, as well as the stylistic thread of continuity.
This one is from 2001.
Done in 1969
From 1982.
Sorry I didn't manage to get these up in proper chronological order, but you get the idea. Pretty great, huh? If you have time to explore the
San Francisco Museum of Modern Art website, you can see lots of Frank's work, and watch a video as well.
When you have time, google up his name and prepare to be amazed.

Those last three have almost art-quilt-like forms to them, don't they!
I love all the artwork you show on your blog. Thanks for taking the time to seek these out and post them.
The reason I like Frank is that so much of his work is quilty!!
Jen, you always have the best art to share. Where would we be without you? Always gets my "I want to make art" gears going. Thank you so much.
